FJS RCMP Respond to Early Morning Shooting FJ2016-13212

On December 13, 2016 at 7:53 a.m. (MST) the Fort St John RCMP attended to a complaint of a shooting in the 11000 block of the 269 Road, just north of the city.

Multiple officers attended the area and located a 47 year old man suffering from what appears to be gunshot wounds. The victim was rushed to hospital where he is currently in stable condition.

The investigation is still in the very early stages but it appears the shooting was targeted and the public is not at risk.

No further details will be released at this time in order to protect the integrity of the investigation.
