Motor Cycle Collision Results in Fatality FJ2017-6241 UPDATE JUN 23

*UPDATE*- On June 23rd, 2017 the woman involved in this collision has come forward and been identified by police. Thank you to the Public and the Media for their help.

On June 22nd, 2017 at 2:42 am the Fort St John RCMP received a report of a motorcycle collision at the traffic circle located at 112th Ave and 86th St, in the City of Fort St John.

Initial investigation revealed that the motorcycle collided into a barrier and that there were two individuals on the motorcycle, a man and a women. The man, whose name will not be released by the police, was pronounced dead at the scene. The women fled the scene prior to police arrival.

Police have not yet identified the women. Her description is as follows:

  • Caucasian
  • Dark colored shoulder length hair
  • About 5’8″ tall
  • Medium build
  • Wearing dark colored pants and top

Police are requesting anyone who witnessed the collision or who has information regarding this file to come forward and report it to the Fort St John RCMP who can be reached at 250-787-8100. You can also report this anonymously at Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-222-8477.
