Fort St. John, BC – October 30, 2015

File 2015-13141            UPDATE

On October 28, 2015, the Fort St John RCMP received a report of a possible child abduction that occurred at approximately 6:00 pm on October 28, 2015 where a child was allegedly brought into a white Ford Explorer type SUV against their will.

As of this date, no children have been reported missing in Fort St John and no parents have come forward to advise police this was a case of a child being disciplined. The Fort St John RCMP is in the process of checking the local schools to ensure no students are unaccounted for. Thus far, there is no evidence to suggest an abduction took place.

The Fort St John RCMP is continuing with their investigation to determine whether an abduction actually took place”, say S/Sgt. Steve Perret, “we are hoping that the persons from this white SUV come forward to provide an explanation as to what happened or someone out there has information about what happened. This is being treated as a priority investigation but we need the public’s assistance in figuring out what actually occurred”.

If you have any information regarding the identity of the vehicle or persons involved, please contact the Fort St. John RCMP at 250-787-8100.
