Armed Robbery – Casey’s: Suspect Arrested

Fort St. John, BC- September 25, 2015 

Sean William BROWN has been arrested for the robbery of Casey’s Liquor Store. 

On September 21st a male entered Casey’s Liquor Store armed with a knife and demanded money from the employee. He then fled the area on foot.

After releasing surveillance video of the suspect, the Fort St. John RCMP received numerous tips identifying the male as Sean BROWN, a 24 year old male from Chetwynd who also frequents the Fort St. John and Dawson Creek areas. On September 22nd BROWN was located in Chetwynd and arrested by members of the Fort St. John, Hudson’s Hope and Chetwynd RCMP with Police Dog Services from Dawson Creek and Fort St. John assisting.

BROWN has been charged with Robbery, Disguise With Intent to Commit an Indictable Offence and three counts of Fail to Comply with a Recognizance. BROWN was also arrested on six outstanding warrants from Fort St. John, Dawson Creek and Prince George. These warrants were for Assault, Assault with a Weapon and Fail to Comply with a Recognizance.

BROWN is being held in custody. His next court appearance is October 7th.

Fort St. John, BC- September 21, 2015 

The Fort St. John RCMP is asking the public for information about a male who robbed Casey’s Liquor Store yesterday.

On September 20th at 1:20 pm a man brandishing a knife entered Casey’s Liquor Store and demanded cash from the employee. The employee gave him the money from the register and the suspect then fled on foot down the alley behind Casey’s towards the bypass road.

Police searched the area and made numerous patrols but were unable to locate the male.

The suspect is described as being 20 to 25 years old, approximately 6 feet tall and having a slim build. He was wearing a camo toque, a red hoodie, jeans and runners. He also had a black bandana around his face during the robbery. (See attached photo.)
