Thanks to everyone who called in. As a result of information received we were able to eliminate the individual seen in the photos.

We were able to determine that due to an error in the time stamp on the video that was provided to police, the wrong person was considered as a person of interest.

On September 8, 2018 at 7:50 am, a stolen debit card was used at the Safeway Gas Bar.

The alleged suspect is seen inside the store paying for diesel fuel and a phone charger. The suspect is shown in the photo below wearing a dark hoodie.

The Fort St John RCMP continue to investigate and are asking anyone who has information in this matter to contact police.
